Community Projects

ECCO has been set up not to just run the operation of the car parks but to support community groups and projects.
 
Local groups will immediately benefit by being reimbursed for volunteer hours as parking attendants and also through grants from the proceeds.
 
Projects to benefit the whole community are planned in the longer term. Initial nominations include 'greening' the car park, a community bus, beautification and traffic calming of Memorial Drive and a walking/cycling path to the lookout on Eumundi Range Rd.
 
As the community management of the car parks continues over time further projects will be nominated.
